Celtic Fringe Memories

We love what we do, and who we do it for. The Celtic Fringe has become a community gathering place for friends and family, and we love being here for our community. We strive to prepare and serve the best food possible, and to take care of our guests with courtesy and respect. Click on any of the links below to share our memories with us

Soft Opening: February 13 - March 16, 2012

Our opening day had finally come: Monday, February 13th, 2012. We purposefully didn't make any announcement that we were opening because we knew we needed to get our feet firmly planted beneath us, and work out all the kinks we had experienced during our friends and family night. But having said that, word somehow got around and our guests began to arrive, and arrive, and arrive.

Our very first guests

Makiyo, Tara and Henry Ferrell

More opening day guests

It was a busy day that gave us a great opportunity to work out kinks in our processes, and discover some things that we were struggling with. The community and our guests were kind and understanding and gave us great feedback on what we needed to change and improve. The adventure had begun.

First Valentine's Day Guests; our 2nd day open

Friends & Family Night (Pre-Open Training): February 10, 2012

After months of building, painting, staining, planning, testing, hiring, training, etc, etc, etc, the time had finally come to try it all out on a friendly audience. So we invited our friends and family to join us for a free night of dining, drinking and fun so they could help us find our blind-spots, fix our problems, and give the final thumbs up or down on our recipes. It was one big party for we opened our doors to the public

Opening Crew Training: February 1 - 10, 2012

Our first and only pre-customer-customer. He couldn't help himself; he had to sneak in and beg for a Guinness 12 days before we opened for business. Oh, and he's been a Celtic Fringe fixture ever since

Putting away stock, setting up the kitchen and dining room, and our very first food prep day. Followed by the first dishes produced from the Celtic Fringe kitchen. These were early ideas of the final menu to come. Finally our very first wine training class

After 2 full weeks of long days stocking, training, cooking, and tasting, the time has come for the final clean up before the doors swing open
